Well - looking at him - he does look better put together than some of the others. However, that's not saving much. And the fact that "above average" in ROTF toys means "best of the best" in the ROTF toy line (comparatively) speaks volumes about the problem with this line.
Finally - for all intents and purposes I just don't like the design. The head looks like a strange bug. It's like somebody said "they are aliens" and therefore thought "aliens are bug eyed monsters."
But Transformers are not just aliens. They are alien ROBOTS. Ergo - they shouldn't look organic, but rather boxy and metallic and robotic.

My biggest gripe with a lot of the ROTF mainline toys is that they're too fiddly for their own good. It's almost as if TT/Hasbro thought a lot of adults/media would be scrutinising them after seeing the film and wanted to make them as complex as possible. Maybe.
