Well.. if we're talking about robots that you can look out your window and see, then the 1:1 scale RX-78-2 has everybody beat. In fact, he's actually taller than the apartment building behind him...so depending what floor you live on...you'd need to look up...waaay up: Pete

Yep. It looks better at night since it can light up and smoke billows forth from the ventilation shafts. It can be considered a combiner too, since inside is a transformable Core Fighter... Speaking of giant robots you can see out the window...here's Tetsujin 28: So you see - they are practicing. They WILL build a 6 light year tall Toppa Tengenn Gurren Lagann... it's all a matter of time... Pete

Well - the RX-78-2 did come in small pieces and was assembled. The parts came in trucks.
As for Tetsujin - I'm not sure.

I want to live in Japan. They get much more interesting 'street furniture' than we do!

No kidding. In Warsaw, it was a big deal when they put a palm tree up in the center of the city...

So, the answer I was looking for is;
15.
Star Convoy, Grandus, Sky Garry, Dai-Atlas, Sonic Bomber, Roadfire, Metrotitan, Onslaught, Silverbolt, Motormaster, Hot Spot, Air Raid, First Aid, Brawl, and Breakdown merge to form the largest combined form covering an area of over 2,800 square millimetres.

Silverbolt & Motormaster aren't that combiner friend compared to Hotspot & Onslaught. I've got in a box a rusty Silverbolt with loose limbs & Hotspot with broken ladder but all limbs in tack. Never played with Motormaster - but would expect that the cab section folding back might become loose. You can see the different in the design of the first 2 special teams sets. The limbs are also smaller compared to the slightly easy pulling arms out of Firstaid/swindle compared to the jets.

Pah, a square millimetre is a pretty small area. So, has it ever been done and do you have the photographs, or is this purely theoretical? Martin

I feel cheated by the answer. The topic of the thread CLEARLY promised Combining Condums. Instead we get some stupid robots thrown together on a carpet. Booo! Pete
