My favourite B-movie. It's about a killer tree. Used to be a staple of late-night BBC1. Alas, I have never found a full copy of it but here is a clip I found on youtube: And the trailer! If only I could find the full film. -Ralph

That's the problem with some rare films released onto DVD - they always seem to be too overpriced.

I would pay a tenner for it, for the amount of hilarity the film has given me over the years. But no more, considering it's a b-movie that's 50-ish years old.

That Ebay listing was a ridiculous price and certainly a price I wouldn't be paying for a B movie either. I also checked on Amazon.co.uk and discovered somebody is selling the same DVD on there also for about three quid more than the Ebay listing. Madness!

It had a great concept and the odd chuckle but overall meh. The appeal of Bruce Campbell movies eludes me generally, however.

It slipped under the radar at cinemas (if at all!) but it had a decently high profile dvd release I seem to remember.
A decent film, but not his best (that's Army of Darkness)

I haven't seen the film yet but, because I like the Evil Dead films I think I'll have to check it out sometime.

Evil Dead II is his best film.

Evil Dead II is certainly one of the best in the trilogy. It is also the one that has an excellent sight gag in it. After Ash chops off his possessed hand he puts it underneath a bucket and weighs it down with a few books - one of which is called 'A Farewell to Arms'.
