... well, on average, anyway. Here is my maths. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was at cinemas for 114 days in the USA and took $402,111,870. The Dark Knight took $533,345,358 over 231 days in the USA. I've got my figures from www.boxofficemojo.com. So this means, ROTF took an average of $352,729 per day and TDK took $230,885. Of course, like all maths, these calculations are meaningless. I just thought I'd show my workings.

That's interesting, makes you wonder why ROTF was removed from the screens if so profitable whilst Dark Knight hung around a lot longer. To be honest, there's probably something in Dark Knight having such a good reputation in keeping it hanging around. Or, there is some plausability in all cinemas putting their prices up a dollar inbetween the two films...

The only thing I can think of is that once a film is out on DVD it can't be at the cinema, or having its tickets sales count?
ROTF seemed to come out on DVD very quickly in the USA!

I don't think box office figures don't count anymore after DVD release is true... Star Wars box office figures include its re-release in 1997 after a home video was available for years for instance. But obviously, in general, not many films stay in cinemas when the DVD is out. I remember at work we literally showed the first Pirates of the Carribean film every weekend until the dvd came out, though!

Re: ROTF outperformed The Dark Knight at the BO!
Well DUH!
I mean it's well known that robots don't sweat, while Batman, no matter how much deoderant he uses, is going to sweat like a pig under that outfit.
Hence Transformers will never smell as bad and will always outperform Batman in this respect.

Batman does not sweat. Batman defeats sweat.

oooooooooooooooooh - NOW I get it! Sorry. I totally misread the subject of this thread.
Ok - I understand now.
So Batman and ROTF are two competing deodorants in the UK, and Batman defeats sweat/BO while ROTF doesn't.
Ok. Got it.
Do you guys use Batman? Personally I prefer Dove. I use Dove products for soap, deoderant, shampoo and conditioner. It's soft on my otherwise allergy prone skin. Though there are a couple other products of this sort I can use without irritation to the skin.
But got to admit I haven't heard of Batman Deodorant. Still, it has to be something else if it outperforms ROTF deoderant.
