If I open up a HSBC account will I get definately a Visa card (for Debit) and not a Maestro, and how much will I need to put in for my opening balance, if anyone knows

Sorry, I opened mine in 1993 so I'm a bit behind the times on opening deals.
Best thing is to ask them.

My debit card has just gone to Visa debit, but Mastercard is the default credit card.
