That's an awesome awesome play set. The Micromaster play sets were great great ideas, and this is one of the best. It's soooo cute. The detailing is sparce, but nothing stopping one from sprucing it up with custom decals or paint or just plain imagination.
I wish they would reissue this and other Micromaster Base sets.... Heck, a reissue case of Micromasters would also be much appreciated...

It's such a bummer that with great sets like that, the only reissue was Star Convoy.
I've come to the conclusion that Star Convoy's true weakness is his Micromaster base mode. All would be forgiven and understood insofar as the "brick" like nature of the robot mode goes if the Micromaster base were more than what it is... as such, it suxors...
Maybe they took the box art on the back of Metroplex too seriously and thought "look -Metroplex's head sticks out in city mode so..."

Star Convoy's base mode is a clearly a totemic aspect of the Micromaster God.

Hm. Another excellent fanfiction idea...
Planet Micro, where "Optimus Prime" is a legendary God that the natives worship...
Very good Ralph.
