That little question at the end about who is the leader of the Autobots is up for discussion. I wrote for my answer 'it depends on who's leading them at the time!' but it wouldn't accept it!

Heh!!
It's just to stop any spambots using the form. I doubt the Viagra factories of the world would be interested in Transformers.

You are most welcome to one if you'd like, but there's nothing new in it. It's just a selection of unchanged content from issues 6-11.

I think I've only got up to issue 10 of Hubris. I'm up to the issue with the Stephen Baskerville cover anyway so, if that is issue 10 then this free issue might persuade me to pick up issue 11.

I decided why not. I may enjoy it.
Though I was disappointed that Sludge wouldn't be accepted as the leader of the Autobots. Now that would be an interesting story.

The form does not accept fanwank answers.

My terribly completist urge when it comes to fanzines appears to have kicked in as well.
Karl (Wishing that Grimlock would stop waving comics at me shouting about "See me have evidence! Me demand recount!".... or at least that I had heavier duty earplugs to block him out......)

Fanwank answers are fun though. Spoilsport.
I look forward to seeing what Hubris is all about.

Fanwank answers are fun though. Spoilsport. No, I'm pretty sure Spoilsport was never Autobot Leader. Try again. Martin

Right, now for my review of the issue.
Cover: A nice cover of the Minibots even though none of them feature in the issue. The back cover features three tech-specs of Ground Hog, Growl and Motorhead.
Content: The issue starts off with an A-Z of Rippersnapper before going onto a two-page strip story of The Mighty. The A-Z Commentary is the well written Arcee piece and the toy review is of Incinerator which is also nicely written and details the good bits as well as the flaws of the toy. Lastly, we are given the four page feature of Bob Budiansky's work on the Marvel US Transformers comic. Just to tease the reader an insert is also included highlighting a subscription off for Hubris, a (presumably) much anticipated special issue collecting the original Hubris content and the 2010 Desk Diary.
What's Missing?: Although you can't really complain about the content of the issue (it was free after all) maybe a text story wouldn't have gone amiss in the issue. I also enjoyed the Soundwaves feature in an earlier issue of Hubris and half expected that to be in there.
Conclusion: A nice issue with a selection of some of the best pieces from previous Hubrises that will probably do well to attract people who haven't previously enjoyed Hubris before.

Thanks very much for the detailed review, Dave!
I would have liked to have included a text story, but none were short enough to fit in the 12-page count without taking space from other features. And I didn't want anything in there "to be continued".
