I thought it would be fun to ask/discuss topics left unexplained in the original run.
One instance that bugged me was Shockwave's miraculous recovery after being incapacitated for millions of years. How was Shockwave able to recharge himself enough to defeat the Autobots? Wouldn't he have been low on energy?

There is also another question that baffled a few people at the tale end of the Marvel UK run. In the story Desert Island Risks (I think that's the name of the story) the Constructicons have lost their combining ability and decide to create a new Devastator on a desert island. Marvel UK claimed that this would be answered but it never was. Did anybody ever write any fan fiction explaining this?

It's been a while since I read the issue but I think that all of the Constructicons were present (in vision anyway). I suppose that if one or two of the Constructicons were destroyed and the rest built replicas of their fallen comrades then that would explain their lack of being able to form Devastator.

ie - the yellow toys released at the time without the parts. Scavenger not having the chest part.

I think TF Archive referred to the issue as something to either introduce the non-combining toys as you have mentioned or an Action Master Devastator.
