We have had the animated Movie out since 1986 - but never show on the standard 5 channels.
The only thing showen has been parts of series one of the orinigal cartoon. All of Beast Wars. Series one of Armada.
& that's it.
But what do you think the changes are that we might get to see the original movie or the first LA Movie on screen on BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV, C4, FIVE?
Sky/digintal have shown
The movie & LA Movie,
all G1, armada, energon, rid, beast wars/machines, cybertron, animated.

I know you mention the main 5 channels, but a week or two before the first live action movie was released in 2007, the 1986 movie was shown on ITV4. Given that there had at least been two remastered versions released at that time, they showed the original vhs/budget dvd version with the much darker picture. If I recall correctly this was at a time when ITV4 showed an action movie every Thursday night at 10pm, and that was the pick for that slot that week.
I would be very surprised if the live action film is not shown on one of the traditional five channels before the summer. Spiderman 3 was also in the cinemas about Easter/Summer 2007, and premiered on Five the other week, so I would also expect teh live action TF to be on sometime soon.
I haven't seen any of the Christmas tv guides yet, but I wouldn't have been surprised if TF was one of the Christmas/New Year movies this year. Going by this thread, I guess not.

I don't know if it is just the way you write it, or some board joke I don't get, but i am curious as to why in the thread title you have typed Transformers as two separate words instead of one word?

How in the original Movie [Trans Formers The Movie] & also the original comic title it has the word apart - as appose to the LA Movie which is called TRANSFORMERS, the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen - all in one.
GMTV has series one of Armada on - but you had to have Sky one to see series 2. They didn't show it on ITV2. - who did show Cybertron & series 1,2 Beast wars.

No showing of Transformers over xmas 2009. Only the 5 channels counted - not ones you need extra box to watch. You could count Virgin media V box which has RID on demand.

Fair enough point. I have never known anyone to type type it as two separate words before, but I can see and understand the reasoning behind it.
I only ever saw a couple of Beast Wars episodes when it was on channel 5 back in 2004. As it was shown on a Saturday about 10ish I missed it most of the time as I was already working, or still in bed due to working nightshift, or didn't have to get up yet for backshift.

I mentioned something about the name Transformers being two separate words in a thread about a year or so back. The thread is now lost somewhere in the depths of the Hub but, as I recall there was a bit of a discussion on it.

In the movie trailers on the DVD for the original the voice over guy [is it always the same guy who does the voice overs for the movies = does sound the same all the time] - says in in 4 words - Trans Formers The Movie. While the first LA one is Transformers. Has it ever been called Transformers Movie or Transformers the Movie - thisis for the 2007 one.
But expect we are only likely to see the 2007 film maybe next year on five only.
BBC not be showing it - they dont show toy based cartoons [apart from the toy based cartoons they show - Visionaires on sunday mornings bbc2 late 80's - bbc1 & itv only had relion programs on while C4 just had those weird programs on so must have been BBC2]

I imagine the BBC will have it for Christmas 2010/2011. They seem to go for the high-grossing films to put on in the afternoon. It's about the ratings, after all.
