Okay, now that we've all opened our pressies and had time to digest our Christmas dinner maybe we can all tell everyone else what Santa left under the Christmas tree for us when he broke into our houses last night!
For me there were no Transformer toys this year but I did get a new comfy leather-look seat for my computer desk (my old seat had seen better days) and also the Star Fleet DVD boxset. I also received a Waterstones gift card, a chocolate selection box, a McLaren F1 team t-shirt and some ink cartridges for my printer. Oh, and a wooly hat from one of my aunts!

My other half very kindly gave me a PS3 along with 3 games that I plan to get stuck in to later tonight. I also got some comedy DVD's and the CSI: Miami seasons 1 - 6 boxset so plenty to watch over the next few days. On top of that my sister gave me a lovely watch and there was some TF goodness in the shape of movieverse Skywarp and two walkie talkies! All things considered I feel very fortunate and thankful to all who gave me gifts and cards.

I was happy to receive a nice bottle of Jack Daniels and a tat game, both of which shall be deployed for Hogmanay celebrations. I also have been lucky enough to be given some Chrimbo spending cash and I will hit FPG and HMV on the way back to Edinburger tomorrow.
Though given some personal news that shall remain private the most cherished gift this Christmas has just been to see family. Everything else is just mint frosting, really.

Oh Wii FIt plus and SuperMarioBros Wii too, yay!

My brother received the new Super Mario Bros Wii game as well as the original Wii Fit and balance board. It will most likely be down to me to play on new Mario game because my brother doesn't play platform games.

Tony - they still make walkie-talkies???
My pressies ranged from the intellectual heights of 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' on DVD to the lightweight escapism of a posh hardback slip-cased edition of Pasternak's 'Doctor Zhivago'. I look forward to guzzling down my two new pairs of smart trousers, and wearing to work my bottle of Cava and various chocolates. I intend to microwave the nice cheque I got from my parents and put a sticky toffee pudding from my sister in my bank account to spend in a variety of ways.

I got a respectable haul this year. Cash from several relatives that will inevitably be converted into plastic robots for Toy-fu: Year 2: Electric Boogaloo. in fact, my taking advantage of people being online less has led to a significant increase in the new inventory, and it will only get bigger as we progress into the January dead zone. Hopefully.
I got an ROTF 2-pack from my mum! It was one I had kind-of fancied but was waiting for it to be reduced. The Scots Hubmanay crew will be introduced to them next week. I also got a toaster. It turns into a robot gremlin. Fairly cool. Also some clothing, but no toiletries to add to the pile of unused giftsets from the past ten years stacked up in my wardrobe. I buy my own soap, shaving foam and deodorant, thanks, and I'm quite happy with those brands. If you think I smell spray me with Febreeze!

Someone might be happy to get them cheap, you'll get some space back and it'll be more money to charity.

My thoughts are with Amazon...
I got loads of chocolate & books, slowly eating my way through them. But not the books. Eating books is a silly and hard process.

The mrs got me an electric shaver, so now I no longer have the excuse of being too lazy to wet shave for looking like a bum Got given the usual shower sets, pants and socks, and a fair wedge of cash, that hopefully will go towards a shiny new TV for me. No TF's this year, first time ever I think. Will have to buy my own!

I look forward to a large heavy box of joy in a week or so. M kindly gave me copies of the Kenneth Branagh Hamlet and 2010 on DVD along with some TF tat stationary and a Captain Pike Star Trek figure. -Ralph

M kindly gave me copies of the Kenneth Branagh HamletI think it's superb. I see where you're coming from with your comments in regard to the David Tennant screen version, and I hope that this'll be a rare instance where our positive assessments on films coincide. But be warned, the Branagh isn't called the 'eternity version' for nothing! Martin

I've spent some of my Christmas money on the cheapest 15-inch digital TV from Curry's (£99.99) to replace the more-than-decade-old analogue one in my bedroom, and on getting a guy to come over to install a signal splitter and drop an aerial cable down through the ceiling so that it gets a signal. (The old telly used a set-top aerial.) £50 plus VAT. Gonna watch Triffids Part 2 on it tonight.
Also ordered a second multi-region DVD player off Amazon (for less than £50) so that I can watch R1 in either my living room or my bedroom.
Finished watching G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra DVD including all the extras. Still far more entertaining than Fallen Dave - except for the flashbacks, which are all boring.

Among the price changes this morning at TRU, the two-pack my mum got me was reduced to 19.99. D'oh!

I got a nice set of warm pajamas from my mother, a multi-tool from my mothers fiance (not a thing to be sniffed at - I have been meaning to invest in a small file and a cross-head screwdriver for a while and this means that I have them in a neat package along with other things of use). My sister got me a desk tidy which will prevent me from losing my wallet or mobile phone within the house again, and a useful monkey (he has a screen-cleaning cloth for a stomach, making him very useful addition to the staff of my house). I also got a book on the history of the Cornish Pasty, which has some interesting recipes up the back that I am going to have to try out. And I got some fudge from both my Mother and her fiance. Most welcome as I like fudge.
The most unexpected present was a children's annual from 1936 which I received from my mother. It is a fascinating glimpse into the history of books for children - the sheer volume of content means that you'd need a half-decade of modern annuals to match one from that era.
