Looking back on the first two months of 2010, what I've mostly been watching, now that I have Freeview in my bedroom, is endless repeats of QI on Dave.
In second place has been my recently purchased complete set of Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes on DVD.

I usually only watch things at the weekend now. As much of my work day uses a computer I don't want to stare at it too much in the evening.

I tend to watch mainly just the music channels on digital but only select ones. One of my favourite music channels VH1 Classic has now been rebranded as MTV Classic and what is the first thing they do to the channel? They plague it with the horrid R&B, Hip-Hop and Rave music I avoid at all costs.
As for 'other' programmes I tend to only watch the Grand Prix motor racing (which starts again in just over a weeks time) and the odd documentary of ancient British history (a subject that I used to be so fond of in my younger days but have since mellowed on it somewhat).

I'm currently watching the Snooker World Championship where my local hero Mark Selby (the Jester from Leicester) is in the Semi Finals. Here's hoping he at least reaches the final.

Watching Full Circle with Michael Palin on eden. In the past BBC2 would have shown these in the mornings, but my evening doses are keeping me happy.
Also approaching the end of farscape.

Series 4 of Mad Men starts this week on BBC4 on Wednesday, giving me a reason to fire up the iPlayer asgain, huzzah.

The Shield, currently onto season three.
I want to watch Mad Men but have only caught about half of one season so far.

I just watched an episode of QI on the iplayer. I had no idea that guns which shoot round corners existed.

I've heard nothing about the western 'Appaloosa' but it's on Film Four tonight at 9 and Radio Times give it four stars, so I'll give it a go. What's the worst that can happen?

I just watched The Special Relationship on iplayer. You wouldn't think it would be possible to make a dull insipid drama about how Clinton and Blair viewed each other, but you'll be wrong. HBO stuff is usually much more engaging than that.
It will win awards.

I have never watched an episode of Spooks, but it's slim pickings on the iPlayer tonight so I'll give it a go.

I have a love-hate relationship with Spooks. Some episodes are fantastic pieces of drama. But others take a too sadistic delight in torture of characters.

Watched it. That in no way could be construed as drama. It was complete tosh, albeit watchable tosh. I almust guffawed when there was a sudden cut to people in a room (which has computers that can do anything) with people shouting: "This is the choice I didn't want to make!", "IT'S THE CHOICE YOU HAVE TO MAKE!"
I was also amused by MI5 being staffed by 3 people who all work out of one small room.
Hilarious stuff. I enjoyed it, but it was very very silly.

There's also a PRINCESS DIANA CONSPIRACY episode.
I think that is where it jumped the shark for me. I hopped back on for a while, but then they brutally killed off one of the nicest characters in the show in a horrid way, and I just quit watching

My day today will be spent watching the Singapore Grand Prix and the Snooker World Open semi finals. Also, Channel 5 had started to show a series about the Eddie Stobart empire which they are putting on every Thursday night. I'm wondering if at some point the Eddie Stobart warehouse where I currently work at will be featured.

Working my way through the following series on DVD at present: The Prisoner, Twin Peaks Season 1 and the 1960's Spider-Man cartoon.
All of them in their own way a little mental, although curiously I don't find Twin Peaks as odd as I did first time around. Still love it to bits though.

Ah, Twin Peaks. I only ever caught the pilot, one episode that had a backwards talking dwarf and the movie. It was very strange.
Just started on Sapphire & Steel. I bought it aaaaaaaaaaages ago on the cheap and life was a bit mad at the time so it fell behind some other DVD's and I forgot all about it until I was looking for something else the other day! Three episodes in and it's still great. I haven't seen Assignment 6 or the second half of Assignment 2 before so looking forward to those episodes especially.

This weekend has mostly been about watching movies wit, coincidentally, Leonardo DiCaprio in them. Specifically Body of Lies and Blood Diamond.
It is quite striking how DiCaprio has matured into a very good, and quite versatile actor. A big contrast from the beginning of his career when he seemed to be getting cast simply because he was a pretty face.
