They still have a flying head tripod thing, though. Which is equipped with a laser. This show properly jumps the shark at the end here, but it never feels too outlandish. It's great. No it doesn't jump the shark, it's amazing! I love the episode with the golden condor vs the giant flying head!!!!!

Okay, so the aliens aren't aliens, they're the last survivors of a super-advanced race who got wiped out in a prehistoric nuclear war. Yay! ATLANTIS

No, they were fighting Atlantis.
Moved onto Ulysses 31 now. More amazing goodness!

My memory fails me once again! I remember genuinely being upset at the last ep of Cities of Gold, when the priest dies

Yeah, that's a surprisingly harsh move, even if it's in keeping with the theme of the children being orphaned and having to learn to stand on their own feet.
It's telling that this and U31 have held up so well, being cartoons focused on the story, not selling toys.
That and not talking down to the taget audience, too. There's some stuff in both shows that wouldn't be allowed even in the 90's, let alone now.

Catching up with the new Robot Wars series. Thor vs Shockwave is not the matchup I see in my head.
This reminds me how much I used to adore Philippa Forrester.

Up to Episode 4 of Robot Wars. Dara is great but not keen on other presenter. Some fun battles thus far. And the poor house robots in Ep. 4!!

Caught the revival Goodnight Sweetheart last night. Surprisingly enjoyable follow up to the old show. A little tempted to have a look at the other homage/revival/lost episode shows the BBC have been doing.
Up until now I'd assumed they'd all be a terrible mess.
Must watch some Robot Wars too.

These sitcoms have been far better than I expected. The Are You Being Served one worked really quite well I thought, and I almost didn't watch Porridge because the premise just didn't feel right, but if you can get over the bump that the lead is trying too hard to emulate Ronnie Barker, and look at it from the point of view of the plot, Clement and La Frenais have knocked out something that's really quite in keeping with the original.
I'd far rather see these turned into series than the pilots being done on BBC2.

Netflix. Curse you.
I just finished DS9, then finally saw the end of White Collar. Started rewatching Community and now I find myself 3 series into Red Dwarf.

Honestly I fell asleep towards the end. But I did catch the "hes slipped in to coma" bit. Magic. Oh come on, the ending is the best bit! I mean, nothing says GI Joe like the finale being WWF wrestler Sgt Slaughter travelling into an ancient civiliation in the himalayas ruled by Snake Burgress Meredith to fight a giant bat-man by doing his wrestling move on him. THIS IS FOR AMERICA!!!!!!!

My headcanon is that in reality, everyone got really messed up on psychotropic spores and GI Joe ended up murdering actor Burgress Meredith, forcing GI Joe to disband
