I have fond memories of Bugs. When I lived in Greenwich and got the DLR through the Docklands almost every day I thought of it often!

I've now reached the end of TNG season 4; a very solid season again, though without the highs of season 3 and with a couple more duds.
I had most of this taped off the TV when I was a teenager, so though it's been longer since I saw it than season 3 it often felt more familiar, but my reactions have changed over time. Remember Me was a favourite back then; I still quite like it but see more of its flaws these days. Family on the other hand I only watched once back then as I wanted more of the SF stuff and less of the personal drama, but it's an absolute highlight for me now!

Been watching the Blu-ray release of Hitch-Hikers. Beautifully polished up.
It is making me waver on buying into the Who releases regardless of not having the first. Come on, beeb. Reissue season 12.

Season 5 of TNG done!
On the one hand, this season does sag a bit after the high of 3 and the general solidity of 4, but when it hits it _really_ hits. Darmok, Conundrum, The Outcast, Cause and Effect, The Inner Light are the first ones to spring to mind.
Ensign Ro should have been promoted to the regular cast, great character and well acted.
Unification sadly is as plodding as I remembered, a terrible waste especially considering Nimoy's great performance. And Sela remains a bad idea. I don't recall if she ever shows up again, but I won't miss her if she doesn't.
Oh, and the 3D effect they added to the logo has not aged well. I had forgotten completely about it!

Season 6 of TNG now completed!
As I remembered, generally a bit of an improvement on season 5. Starts weak with Times Arrow, which I have long hated, but the highs are very high (Chain of Command, Tapestry) the fun episodes are mostly actually fun (Fistful of Datas, Rascals - I remembered enjoying Fistful but expected to cringe through Rascals and was surprised and glad not to) and there's lots of neat little stand-out stories like Relics, Lessons, Face of the Enemy and Frame of Mind.
It's good to see Troi _finally_ getting a chance to shine, and Riker gets some good episodes in.
Timescape hasn't aged well for me - I loved it as a teenager, but apart from a bunch of cool moments and the novelty of the Runabout it strikes me as a pretty poor story these days.
It's a shame Ro has sort of faded away this season, and O'Brien's absence in the latter part was felt. Both are good characters, well acted.
Straight into season 7, some episodes here I'm really not looking forward to watching again, but I know there are some diamonds in the rough (and also a whole bunch of episodes I don't remember at all by name).
Oh, and Scotty was amazing in Relics. Doohan's best performance, I'm sure, and possibly the best script the character has ever been given.

I suspect that even critics of Time's Arrow are not only wrong, but vulnerable to the Colt 45. *cigar smoking mad laughter*

I love that late in life the actor who played Mark Twain in Time's Arrow loved the role so much that he went on to play him in a one-man stage row that did well!

If you like a good fantasy series then don't watch The Outpost. How I've sat through ten episodes of this I don't know. It's bloody awful.

Came to Snowpiercer via a review in SFX. 2014 film currently on Netflix. Well worth a watch if you like Terry Gilliam style dystopian futures.

Not Delta Force?
Three episodes into Always Sunny. It has its moments.

Not Delta Force? Three episodes into Always Sunny. It has its moments. The first season is easily the weakest. It gets so much better when Danny Devito appears and they start to just go crazy with it.

Tory leadership head-to-head debate tonight 8pm on ITV. Probably won't change the outcome, but I hope it shows Boris up for the pillock we all know him to be.

It's completely irrelevant. The ballots have already gone out and none of the viewing public can vote. More can be achieved from the event by literally pissing into the wind.

Martin is going to try and watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Out of the Shadows on Channel 4 at 8pm. Is it a sequel? I haven't seen the first one... Probably doesn't matter.

I finally finished my TNG marathon, after having to take a break for a long holiday and then a work trip to London! Season 7 is massively uneven, probably the most disappointing given my lowered expectations for season 1, but the highlights are great.
Gambit was better than I remembered, quite a lot of fun actually; Parallels, Lower Decks and Preemptive Strike were as good as I remembered, and I enjoyed All Good Things more than ever. Oh, and Masks was more interesting than I remembered. It's still a bit odd and half-baked, but there was a lot I liked about it.
So 180 episodes in the last few months, and I didn't skip the title sequence once. Not sure I want to work out how many hours of my life have now gone just on those opening credits!
