Ive skipped almost all the live action remakes. Response to mulan seems poor even by there standards so dont see it joining malificent, beauty and the beast and aladdin.
Even at no additional cost id rather rewatch the animated film.

Unlike the other remakes, I haven't seen the original Mulan and the trailer for this looked good so will give it a go. My first love for films remains the cinema but I'm not stepping back into one until I get a vaccine alas. Can't take the risk when I have an underlying health issue.
I would rather have seen Tenet and The New Mutants in the cinema but couldn't for obvious reasons. Will watch them on blu ray soon. If I like them, I'd probably still go see them again at a future point in a cinema for the big screen picture and sound experience, which I do miss greatly. Movies from the sofa isn't quite the same.

Watched Venom.
I enjoyed it, clearly the ambition exceeded the budget but I don't mind that. Nice to hear Tom Hardy for once (thank you Christopher Nolan!). The double act with Venom was good. Pacey as well, not much faffing about.

Suprisingly good film and really rewatchable.
More than I can say about Wonder Woman 84 which I decided to watch today via... means.
I guess its fine if I dont think about ...... anything. But think about one thing, say the creeeeepy way Steve returns and its hard to avoid a cascade of questions on just about every level of the film. Which is a shame as essentially theres little to no reason for most of the big question mark bits to be there and otherwise its, or it would be a fun little film.

I can't stand the presenter.
Mrs Ralph is currently obsessed with Criminal Minds. Mad show. It's more far fetched than Star Trek! Mark Hamill was an evil serial killer in one episode (every episode has a new serial killer with their unique wacky way of murder).

Mulan 2020 is now no longer behind a pay wall on Disney Plus so will give it a whirl. -Ralph It was ok. A bit bland with a thin script but watchable enough. Cast were decent. -Ralph

Watched DC's The Titans, a bit too grimdark at times, but decent enough and Ian Glen is good as an old Bruce Wayne.

Found an extraordinary wildlife documentary on Netflix called 'My Octopus Teacher' about a diver who tracks an octopus over a year. Lovely photography and very touching. I doubt I'll see a better film this year.

Watched New Mutants last night. I really liked it. Very 80s horror in style. In fact half way through I realised it could almost be a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street 3, it's pretty much the same story.

Watched New Mutants last night. I really liked it. Very 80s horror in style. In fact half way through I realised it could almost be a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street 3, it's pretty much the same story. I enjoyed it so much I saw it three times in the cinema, but I also saw Tenet and Bill & Ted twice each, and I have been questioning myself as to whether my affection for all three films was only partly due to their merits and partly due to the luxury of having the pleasure of cinema for a few precious weeks in the midst of an otherwise bleak year. So I'm really interested to hear the perhaps more objective views of people seeing them for the first time on smaller screens. Martin

Found an extraordinary wildlife documentary on Netflix called 'My Octopus Teacher' about a diver who tracks an octopus over a year. Lovely photography and very touching. I doubt I'll see a better film this year. I'll second that! We watched it at Christmas, it's brilliant. If you liked that I'd strongly recommend the book "Other Minds", similarly non-fiction with the writer getting quite attached to the various octopus / squid / cuttlefish he encounters. It's not new, but we stumbled on the Herzog volcano documentary on Netflix last week, which was quite entertaining. My current favourite thing is watching season 2 of Hilda with my daughter - when it is good it is so, so great. Funny and inventive and the right side of sentimental, with a really nice visual style and incidental music. Episodes 4 and 8 are amazing.

Cancelled Disney Plus as the free trial had ended and I realised that other then The Mandalorian I hardly watched anything on it so no point keeping it on for now as a paid service. I'll re-up for a month whenever Mandalorian S3 comes out and/or if they have more than one new tv show at a time. I did try Wandavision but that is five minutes of my life I bitterly regret losing!
