What's the most interesting thing you learned while talking one to one [not Q&A sessions] with a guest at a convention.
See how much knowledge we can post on here about stuff.

1. From Lee Sullivan.
the cover for UK#157 was done for the 1988 annual. But they [the editor at the time ?? Simon, Richard or Ian ?? don't know which] decided to get Lee to draw the new images for the cover & use that first one for the comic cover.
Maybe to tie in with the US cover #38 that features a miscoloured Scorponok [no Highbrow] attacking Fort Max [who is coloured ok]

Staz Johnson doesn't know too much about the TF toys. He asked me at AA2008 if the Soundwave toy actually transformed into a fully working casette deck.

You could confuse Staz by going on about the Soundwave drawing set or the BW, Cybertron Soundwave.

At AA2006 I think, Geoff Senior said that the only reason Transformers had lasted so long was to keep Simon Furman in employment.

That doesn't really stand now if you look at the core books from the companies. Simon has [apart from the following] been moved to doing non-core main G1 line comics.
1985-1991. 1993-1994. Warwithin #0-15. IDW #0-26. Spotlight #1-5,10,12,13[21],15,16,17,19. Max Dino #1-5. AHM #13
non core book - movie line or toy range Armada #6-30. 2004.
Beast Wars #1-8. Movie pre #0-4. 2#1-4. Tales #2,4,5. UK #1-25,1-8
Convention or reprints not counted.
Lee did state he had to redraw a whole lot of his work due to his cat istting on his just finished work. Don't know what it was but should be pre 2000 & might look slightly rushed in places due to he did state he didn't have time & the level of details he had done on the issues was high because he had spent the past few days doing them.

That's pretty awesome. Cats are naughty

Then there was Lee Sullivan signing #105 & then suddenly
"Hang on a minute - I've just drawn that"
look in his Titan covers artwork & pulls out his cover. "They got me to redraw nearly the exact same picture"

I can't stated what Andrew Wildman stated about WW2 - because he stated it in the Q&A session while informing us [Bristol Comic Expo Nov 04] that sketch packs where for sale.

I learned while talking to Nick, that drink makes you say things out loud that you thought you'd just said in your head. Well actually I knew that already but I had a refresher course.
