I'm still accepting submissions and no they don't have to be done in photoshop or inks to be honest so long as the scans are visible and at least 300dpi so the printed version holds up.

Oh and you prose writers (John, Karl and Martin) if you have clear ideas of images you want tell us - us artists can be right lazy so and sos without prodding!

300 dpi means 300 dots per inch. It refers to the resolution of the image as you scan it. 72dpi is used for web resolution but for printing 300 plus is needed.

I don't think my scanner can do that, I think i'd probably kill it asking the poor thing to do complecated things, so i'll invest in a new one!

I'd have a check just to be on the safe side most of them can manage up to 600dpi.
