Eeeeeeeeee! And I am allowed to squeal like a girl, given I am one. I've looked at one page of that preview, then ran away, 'cause I've decided not to overly spoil myself.
Also - sketch of Springer by Mooney is very nice! I will be watching!

2 days to go!
And as previously noted, when Nick is drawing Verity, we know what there's two of...!

I caved in right away and read through that preview.
Fuck me. That's how you start a Transformers mini-series.
Of course I'm going to be stuck with this e-Wreck-tion for 5 months now...

I'm a huge fan of Nick Roche, both as an artist and as the man who bought my Grandus at AA2009, and was introduced to James Roberts via Eugenesis so nothing else need be said there, so not really liking this puts me in a rather awkward position.
It's a bunch of people I don't know dismembering each other followed by the biggest one opening a space-brothel. I'm sure it'll pan out well (this is Roche and Roberts after all) but the preview if anything has lowered my expectations. Maybe it's because I don't know IDW Fortress Maximus.
Bonus points for Snare taking care of Skids and Mudflap, though.

What a way to go for that character - would be interesting if he somehow survives that. Anyone looking at the preview might not know which i'm referring too - we see characters from both sides killed in the preview.

I wonder what the body count is going to be for the whole series going by the title. Wouldn't it be good if we saw 3 character that we have not seen in the IDW universe show up along the way within this series.
4 if you count Flame. But he would be too much like Hot Rod/ ROFT Megatron.

I'm not sure about IDW's timeline but just keep telling yourself the War is over. Yeah right, here's to the Wreckers.

Nick has just lost a friend today with the content of that preview. But curse him, I will still be buying this series and loving it! *shakes fist*

That preview is fucking immense! One of the themes I've picked up on over at the IDW board is that Overlord is the TF equivalent of John Simm's Master (something which James R himself acknowledges over at IDW too).
Even the colours give off a modern twist on the old Marvel comics vibe. I haven't been this excited for a TF comic in a very long while.

...I'm not reading the preview I'm not reading the preview I'm not reading the preview... If you hold out until the issue comes out, Springer will be proud! (If you don't, he'll have Roadbuster bash you up. )

I really really got a Joker vibe actually, far more than the Master anyway.

It is certainly non-decompressed story telling as promised!

Preview read while listening to the 'soundtrack' = great stuff. Loved Overlord. Top job, boys.
It may just have been the file, but the colouring was more muted than I expected, and I liked this too.

Blimey! I never expected that Wheelie would make an appearance. His "Show some respec'. I'm here to wreck!" battle cry was utterly terrifying.

Blimey! I never expected that Wheelie would make an appearance. His "Show some respec'. I'm here to wreck!" battle cry was utterly terrifying. My favourite bit was when Emirate Xaaron duel-weilded those Targetmaster guns and leapt out of the exploding plane, sky-surfing on top of Skullcruncher in crocodile mode to crash on top of Megatron, and make out with Arcee.

I had a dream about this comic last night, does that mean I am a super nerd with no hope of being saved?

I had a dream about this comic last night, does that mean I am a super nerd with no hope of being saved? The week Marvel's Civil War #7 was released, I was on holiday in Rome and I had a dream about trying to explain the Event to my non-comic-loving girlfriend. That was when I realised I had a problem, and began my 147-step plan to slowly ween myself off. I've not been in a comic shop for nearly 2 months now. It's a daily struggle, but I've got it under control. Except on Saturday, I'm going to go buy LSOTW #1. DAMN YOU ROCHERTS!
