I've been asked about connecting a Wii to our projector at church for an event. For those who have one, what out cables does a Wii come with as standard ? I need to know which sockets are on the end - both type and gender.

As standard it comes with a composite cable, ie yellow AV and red/white stereo sound. All 3 are standard male phono/RCA connectors.

Ta. I know we've got a VGA fly lead but can't remember if the other is S-Video or Composite. We'll see. Much appreciated, know what I'm dealing with now. And that having an RCA coupler in my pocket might be useful !

If the leads provided don't fit/don't work you can always buy specialist cables to do the job. It's amazing what people can link games consoles up to these days with the right leads.

Phil you'll also need a wireless sensor bar! I would imagine your projector will be at the back of a room with the screen at the front. The Wii will be plugged into the projector, but the sensor bar must be under or above the screen itself. The one that comes with the Wii is wired so it most likely won't reach to the screen. There's plenty of cheapo ones on Amazon

I've talked em out of it !
The projector's about 4m back from the screen, just in front of our stage.

Trawling through the back posts on the forum I noticed this thread. We've now done this via a Wii->VGA lead and an extension cable plus some stand along speakers for sound. It woked fine and everyone loved it.
