Since yesterday's spectacular appearance of the Dino-dodo's... I decided to create a quick testament to one of my favourite characters, and do my own take on the design.  |

Since yesterday's spectacular appearance of the Dino-dodo's... I decided to create a quick testament to one of my favourite characters, and do my own take on the design. Not seen the Animated character model for Grimlock yet, but I do like your version there. As a big fan of Grimlock I like anything that plays off the chunkiness of his original look - and this picture has that in spades. Very clean looking artworkand a nice pose with a bit of life to it. (Although I can't help but wonder whether there is a pinatta just out of the borders of the image for some reason. :-) ) Karl |

Ha! I just realised i'm a mod on the art board now. BEWARE!
Yeah i'm going to do a wee Animated strip. Got a nice idea, so may get started on that once i get some other projects finished.
Thanks for all the kind comments people, makes it all worthwhile.

You know, if you hadn't told me this was yours I'd have thought it was concept art at first glance. Animated seems to suit your art style down to the ground. Maybe you should give IDW a shout?

Thanks Nick. I actually sorta-kinda-somehow have a semi-link with some IDW people...so perhaps!
Come to think of it, i might end up submitting something to the Titan 'Zine.

To be fair, i think they'd tell me to bugger off, but i might do a few sequentials and see what happens.

As long as you're mentally prepared for possible rejection and are thick skinned enough, then you should submit samples until the cows come home*.
*Providing you had cows living with you in the first place and that they did, indeed, leave of their own accord.
