Our new cardboard compressor at work is called the Balemaster. Perhaps there's a connection.

Wow. Christian Bale now compresses cardboard? Is there no end to Batman's talents?

Got my train tickets today for Moonbase 2 shenanigans. Roll on Apr 9th. And our very own Blueshift will be there! -Ralph Although I now hear there will be a rail strike that day so I may be going nowhere and just peed money up a wall. Yay. -Ralph

I was looking forward to going out tomorrow night but too many bills came out of my account mid week and left it overdrawn again. As such they swallowed up my entire weeks wages plus left me a further £50 in the red. I've had to borrow more money off my father - something which I don't like doing but have been forced to for the third time this month just to clear the remaining overdraft before the bank slaps another overdraft fee on it.
My day at work didn't start off too well either. Possibly due to a curry for dinner yesterday I was suffering from uncontrollable flatulence again and this time it pissed off my workmates. The first one was bad (in fact so bad one person called it a 'proper vintage') but then about eight more equally bad ones joined in before the first hour was up! Other than that the rest of the day went okay.

You are the Doctor - are you sure you didn't go forward in time and turn up too late before going back to your present time in preparation for putting the clocks forward tonight?

Hope you're feeling better there, Big Phil.
Got a poorly Piglet on our hands this AM. Just a virusy thing. Luckily I'm off this weekend, so Mrs Shockers isn't looking after her alone. Piglet had a snooze earlier, so I finished cleaning my (actually my brothers!) vintage Cobra Moray Hydrofoil that I resuced from my parents loft coupla weeks back. Now got some 25th manning it. Looks great baby!
I thought earlier how brilliant it would be to have scaled to fit 4 inch action figures Transforming Cobra and Action Force vehicles?!!!!
I may have a bash in the Garden later, nice day here in God's country.

I may have a bash in the Garden later Each to his own, I prefer gardening in mine... Supposed to be raining in south Wales today so I gave the lawns their first mowing of the year while it was dry first thing in the morning. Got back from church - still dry! So I moved a plant from a pot into the flowerbed and did a spot of weeding and trimming, then went to the pub for lunch. Now I'm back and it's _still_ dry, so I think I'll finish the weeding and trimming, and the garden will all be in its proper shape for spring. Hurrah! Edit: OK, one gardening session yesterday and three today may have left me feeling morally virtuous and mentally healthy, but my back and knees have gone. I shall be sitting down for the rest of the day. What a wimp. Martin

I haven't yet decided whether to go out to the pub tonight or not. I want to go and compete in this weeks pub quiz but I'm on a very tight budget that has to last me until next week. So what do I do? Go out and spend most of that budget tonight or save it for work next week? I was forced to miss out on going out last night to see my favourite local band play due to my very tight budget so I think I might as well throw caution to the wind and go out tonight.

I'm right there with ya with the aches, all that stooping makes me back gripe like a good'un! (went all Yorkshire there!)

Parentals were over this weekend so I took them to a wonderful city farm I've started popping along to recently: gorgiecityfarm.org.uk/home/I've decided to sponsor the frogs. Also had a whirl round the royal yacht Britannia: www.royalyachtbritannia.co.uk/Pretty cool and if you gift aid your admission fee and wait a month you get a pass to go on it as many times as you like for a year. Yayyyyy. Naturally, in the tat shop, I bought some giant dice. -Ralph
