Episode 10: Sound and Fury

Really enjoyed this ep. I might take some caps later today since I've not done it in a while.

- Guess who makes his debut?
- A mudhole is stomped in the 'Sari is a robot' theory
- Machines are revolting.

I felt this episode was the weakest yet, to be honest (Okay maybe not as bad as the Meltdown one...but still pretty bad). Terrible introduction to Soundwave, and was generally handled poorly. Despite picking up in the last third, it just didn't click for me. Now we've got Soundwave's origin down we can see some decent Lazerbeak action.

This was okay. Plot by numbers, yes, but competently done. The opening scene was 100% Powerpuff Girls reference. Sari's voice actor does Bubbles in the show, and I'm pretty sure she's also Princess (both on PPG, and in this episode). I enjoyed it because I am in fact an 8 year old girl.

Soundwave joining the Decepticons purely because their agenda matches his could lead somewhere utterly awesome in the Tarantulas school of behaviour if they decide to take it in that direction. They might not and he'll just end up another crony, but I live in hope.

I liked how Soundwave could control the other robots, a possible explanation to how he'll gain cassettes. Was expecting him to turn one of them into Laserbeak. I also liked his dancing.

I have to say that I wasn't that impressed with this episode. The plot was fairly uninspired and it felt in many ways like a retread of the Dinobot's episode.

I will admit that I found my attention wandering a lot during the last couple of episodes. Still a great deal better than the most recent Transformers animated series we've had most recently, but I'm not sure this is something I am going to be seeking out episodes of.
