Neat episode this is.
Starscream's new 'gimmick' is pretty decent and comical too.
I wonder who the 'double agent' is.

Another fine episode. I wonder if the Elite Guard will ever miss their tachyon transmitter.

Just watched this episode! Impressions: 1. Why is it called a Tachyon Transmitter? And whay do they need to go through sub-space frequencies? Is it faster? Explain please! And why is such a thing mounted OUTSIDE of a hulking Autobot shuttle somewhere on the hull? 2. The Force-Field reminded me of Sentinel - although apparently this time it's easier to get around! 3. Soo....Sentinel Prime has never seen action,eh? Should have guessed he was a REMF! I guess I'm just used to alll Autobots having seen some action at some point in time - but apparently the Great War WAS a long time ago... 4. Jazz is a good fellow. A true Autobot. Ultra Magnus is wise for keeping him around. But I wonder WHY does he keep Sentinel Prime around? What POSSIBLE good does Sentinel Prime serve? I think the ONLY reason Sentinel is there is because he has - as he says "pull" in the Elite Guard - maybe he's got connections, dirt on someone else... something that compels Ultra Magnus to keep him around. Speaking of which - this brings up the question of just how the Autobots are governed. Democratic elections never had much to do with the Autobot government structure; but here we don't even have a Matrix of Leadership of any such thing... Is it just because Ultra Magnus has the biggest Hammer? That is - is it just like the Decepticons: the most powerful rules? Looking at how scheming and cheating the Elite Gaurd is - although that's mainly Sentinel Prime - one must conclude that unfortunately the Autobots are not different from the Decepticons on this count I mean - Sentinel Prime's view of organics; although shown in a comical way - is pretty much Decepticon philosophy. 5. I was SOOOOO happy when Ultra Magnus got sho in the face. It makes sense that these pompous desk jockys can't stand up to one measily Decepticon. It also makes sense that Sentinel Prime is incapable of doing any thing more than generating a big shield and whimpering like a puppy hoping Optimus Prime can save him. Sadly - the Elite Gaurd don't really draw any conclusions from their time on Earth - Ultra Magnus is clearly a poor leader. The Autobot leadership structure is is shambles. 6. Sooo...Starscream is once again immortal, eh? I guess he would have to be - otherwise the Megatron/Starscream dynamic would be short lived - and this does give some justification to Starscream's persistant survival. In fact - it's even a great play on the G1 Cartoon - I mean; I think if we take together all of the times that Megatron shot Starscream in G1, it would look a bit like this - I was very amused by this. But doesn't Megatron begin to suspect that Starscream might have some power that allows him to keep coming back? In any event - it's amusing, and it makes Starscream a more dangerous and interesting character. Errr...what else? I'm not quite clear as to why Sumdac is still helping Megatron? I could understand fear for his life - but Megatron seems to basically be saying "hey - nobody likes or trusts you after they discovered you rebuilt me. Your reputation is shattered. Nobody will believe your pleas of innocence - might as well accept that since in the public mind you're my servant; then you're best bet is to serve me well, help me win and profit with me." I guess this is somewhat convincing - but it would be enough for Megatron to just threaten his life or something... still - I half-expect Sumdac to pull as Sparkplug Witwicky out of Marvel G1 # 4 and give the Decepticons some tainted oil Pete
