Episode 23: A Fistful of Energon

I just watched this today. Fantastic stuff.

Lockdown returned and marked a temporary team-up with Prowl in order to aprehend Starscream. Lockdown even wore a cloack like Deaths Head ^^.

A bit of a moral orientated episode which put Prowl to the test in terms of honour and the temptation to resort to mods and upgrades to fight.

There is something about this episode that makes me beleive they may leave the apprentice angle open for Oil Slick to appear in the toon. See the episode and wiki-description of the Oilslick toy to see what I mean.

The Dinobots made a small appearance. Sari and Bumblebee were absent this week. This episode also pushes towards the upcoming Starscream clones angle.

Yeah this was a really enjoyable episode, lots going on - setting up for the entrance of the seekers methinks. Prowl's upgrades were pretty cool, and it's always good to see the Dinobots/Lockdown

I wonder if we'll ever see Prowl's upgrades in toy form.

I'd be very surprised if the upgrades were never released.

I have a Lockdown toy due this week. I am so going to make a custom Death's Head cloak.

Brilliant ep, especially Animated Death's He- er, Lockdown.

Though for an episode saying "Prowl's reliance on mods are BAD!", the ending has him saving Detroit from being destroyed... via his mods! So they must clearly be good.

Man, if I was a Transformer I would be modded up the BUM. The 'message of the day' felt a bit fudged and it was hard to deny that Prowl was more effective with his mods than without. The 'piracy is bad, kids- tell your parents' message in Velocity was a better attempt at shoehorning morality plays into a giant robot show.
