Hmm. I quite like the overall design, but not in that pose.
I'd be pleased to see Beachcomber in Animated - one of my all time favourite Transformers, both in terms of the toy and the Marvel character model. Given the Sunbow characterisation, I can imagine the sort of eco use they'd put him to in Animated. (Also given the Sunbow characterisation, I can see the Dylan connection.) Ooh, I hope he makes it to toy.

Is this linked at all to the new toys that are currently up - where there's a good looking Beachcomber & Brawn toy.

I think the Beachcomber you mean is an upcoming Legend figure, Pete. Beachcomber, Brawn, Hound, Jazz, G2 Megatron et al are due in future waves of Universe.
