The introduction of Blackarachnia and also a halloween themed episode too. I hope there's a Christmas ep to follow A welcome return for Animated. Have your torrent grabbers ready! ===KEN

Just finished watching the episode.
I really don't want to spoil too much (yet) but I will mention a few things in notes.
- Transformers celebrating Halloween for the first time. - A Transformer crying for the first time. - Sentinel Prime appears in a flashback. - Energon Cubes that are cubes and not rectangles. - Prowl and Ratchet omitted from the episode with no explaination. - Sari's G1 Prime halloween costume - Blackarachnia's true identity revealed. Her 'downloading' gimmick is nifty.

I liked the flashback stuff, background on Blackarachnia and how organics were brought into the Animated Universe.
The whole celebrating Halloween was a bit silly though and thankfully not the main focus of the episode, just an excuse to have giant spiders.

Sentinel Prime IS the Tick! Also, mimicry is a fantastic special ability for a TF to have. Blackarachnia IS Taskmaster There were more than a few Tick refs in this episode, all of which I appreciated. Not overly impressed by the handling of Blackarachnia's past, and it still doesn't explain how she or any of the creatures survived the ship blowing up. The problems with the key would have made a fantastic cliffhanger, however. -Nick

I really enjoyed it. I'm surprised with how...deep (for want of a better word) some of these episodes are in terms of character development. Another good one.

Espisode 9: Along came a Spider i LOVED it
not only do we see the modern Sentinel Prime but Elita One ! ;D and Elita's special powers is absorbtion ** ok i've gotta spoil things
[SPOLER] now the whole techno-organic spider thing was just great any ways - i loved how Elita One = Blacharachnica really explains why she's always torn between her "feelings" and Con/Pred programing [/SPOILER]

Well, aside from Sentinel Prime's appearance and voice actor, the first (rather tenuous) one was him walking up and putting a massive arm around each of his mates before explaining his Really Not Very Good Idea. Give Optimus and Elita moth costumes and you'd think you were back in The City.
Okay, that one was more in my head than on screen. Sentinel's powered shield was similar in nature to a weapon Barry (The Other Tick) wielded in his one appearance. That one's got about a 50:50 chance of homage:coincidence, I reckon. Prime chasing Blackarachnia by bounding across rooftops (clearly damaging them in the process) was almost certainly intentional. If the moon had had HA carved across it in the final scene that would have sealed it, but one probably, one maybe and one "yeah Nick, whatever you say" is enough to go on for now.

Looking at the quotes on the Transformers wiki and they reference the quote "energon-y goodness" as a Tick homage. I can see that one.
