Also, why can't you skip the text? Sure you can make it appear slightly faster, but I still read faster than it appears. I think that if any game has the option of speeding up the text, then it wasn't going fast enough in the first place. And I must also start Skyward Sword at some point, had it sitting next to the TV for months. |

Yes you should.
Getting more used to the motion combat now, but it's still sucky. Game still v. linear apart from the hub world (SkyLoft) which feels too separate to the main ground world "parts" for Zelda. I call them parts as they don't appear to be connected at the moment, which again is very un-Zelda.
One good thing is that you can warp to any save point on the ground when leaving SkyLoft. Each save point also allows you to return to SkyLoft meaning that you can warp between ground save points in a round about way. Would have been better if they just put that option in rather than having to return to SkyLoft each time.
Oddly you don't lose a heart when you fall in lava, quicksand or down a bottomless pit. WTF?

Been playing Skyward Sword on and off for about 4 months. I'm in the 5th dungeon at the minute. Can't say its grabbed me much - it's definitely my least favourite of the 3D Zeldas, but has enough Zelda magic I should see it through to the end.
Also I've been played Zelda II on the 3DS. It's the only main series Zelda aside from Skyward Sword I haven't finished. I started playing it when I got it free from the ambassador thing at the back end of last year, but gave up because its bloody hard. I didn't even make it past the first palace. Now the game has been updated with save states I thought I'd give it another go. Just done the 3rd palace and even with save states this game is super hard.

On that game I'm stuck on a area right down the bottom - but loose 3 lifes getting back there with those snkae like things throwing fire ball at you from behind a fence.
