Oh and I do hope it wasn't the sheer horror of Dawn of the Dread Force that has necessitated your bionic upgrade!

That sounds most unpleasant, but best to focus on the positives. I think for the duration of the device wearing you can say you are a cyborg! Andy Well I did do The Robot in the kitchen this morning while preparing breakfast!

Honestly, I wish you'd made it to Scotcon. When I handed out a free copy to folks the looks of contempt and horror were utterly hilarious. All acquired from A1's 50p bin. The poor lass behind the counter thought I must have been mad. Ralph was chuckling in the background when I picked them up. When I pushed his copy into his hand his smile faded.
Sales of that comic in Glasgow must be the highest in the UK.

HAHA!
I wish I'd made it to Scotcon as well.
Of course, what I really want to know is, did they publish any more issues?!

I think I would prefer not to "feel the dread" to be honest.

Splendid news Chris.
I for my sins have people in today (not yet but soon, to refurbish the Kitchen and Bathroom) which means Turnbull Towers is an absolute mess right now. I shall be dining out all day today and tomorrow at least. Great preparation for Thursday's race.
Think I shall hole up in my room and do some drawing/hubbing for the day. Susie I suspect will be with me, for banging and thumping upsets her, but not quite as much as not being allowed to play with the new people in the house.

Went to see the band play last night but I was surprised when they told me they now had a new bass guitarist because the former one had walked out sometime during the past week. This was a shame because he had been in the band ever since the first gig and he was also the singer of one of the songs on their set.
I also managed to video the gig last night and I have watched it this morning to see how it turned out. The picture quality is dark (due to the darkness of the room) but clear enough while the sound is about average. With a little tweaks in these departments on my PC I think it could be a worthy addition to my Youtube channel.

I am super-grumpy today. I'm wearing a portable ECG thingy, with four electrodes stuck to my torso (and very itchy skin where the nurse had to shave my chest) connected to a box that records my heart activity strapped across my waist. I have to wear it all the time until Tuesday. I had no sleep last night, hence my general grumpiness today! Oh, and I can't shower either! P. U. In happier news, I've just declared a spontaneous four-day week next week so every one at work is very happy. ECGs are fascinating. Hope yours is ok! Had a mucho busy day today on the RV (Rapid response Vehicle). Must be the warming of the weather, been whizzing 'round like a blue aresed fly! Love it. Now getting ready for CSI: New York, baby!

The worst bit of Botcon has begun. waiting for the registration. I sit and click refresh for hours every night in order to be able to try and make the custom class. Stupid 50 places.
Computers are in fact very boring things I quickly realise, oh well, I signed up for some online courses so I can download the previews tonight.
And City got relegated today, when I think how much I've spent on tickets this season its slightly depressing. Still I get to see Liverpool for the first time in a fortnight. Sadly I'll end up seeing the reseves more than likely.

So Friday was my birthday and I actually had a good time.
To begin with Tinkerbell (my cat) didn't wake me up at silly o' clock wanting to be let out, so I was able to lie in. Present wise I had some books, DVDs, couple of games and Haribo - hurrah! People also decided that my birthday would be a good day to pay me back the money they owed me, so that was good.
Birthday night out was spent in Birmingham. My birthday also happens to be St. George's day...so naturally our group went to an all-you can eat Chinese restauraunt before heading off to the Irish center to watch Ash.
I fell in love* with the girl on the merchandise stand though in typical Dave fashion my brain stopped working when I tried to speak and I just came away with the Ltd Ed CD that was my intial reason for heading over.
Some sort of technical trouble delayed the band coming on and then they had to go off stage part way into the first song. But a few minutes later they were back, started again and played a lenghty full set (going quite a bit past the curfew). Really enjoyable gig. I somehow ended up near the front so took a bit of a battering as it was a lively crowd who were bashing in to each other. This was just exhuberant bouncing around really, I only saw one knob who was actually trying to start a fight and he did a runner once it looked like somneone was going to take him up on his offer. At the end I intended to head back to Merchandise Girl but couldn't get through the crowd and anyway with my ringing ears, battered body and the fact I was dripping in sweat (not all of it my own) I didn't fancy my chances.
Not much more to report that night.
The next day some of us really wanted to see some quality football. Unfortunately we support Derby. Despite delays at Birmingham (electrical trouble) and Stafford (it's Stafford) we made our way to Bristol in time for the game: a flattering 2-1 defeat. Still there was nothing to play for and most people had come in fancy dress so there was a good atmosphere and we left in a good mood.
Didn't get back in time for Doctor Who, but the iPlayer came to the rescue. Missed some good snooker too, but overall a good couple of days.
Can tell my birthday is over now though as Tinks came in a 1:00 this morning and then woke me at 5:00 wanting to be let out again.
*or possibly it was just lust

A weekend for pottering around between one thing and another. I have been trying to sort a few problems with my bicycle, unsuccsessfully so far, and trying to do a bit more clearing out.
I would have gone out today but seeing as it chucks it down with rain every half-hour or so I haven't really had the chance unfortunately. So instead I've put my feet up and watched and listened to a bit more old Doctor Who, moving me steadily closer to the goal of seeing or hearing all original Who.

Hope the ECG results come out positive there Graham!
Happy slightly late Birthday, Dave!
I've been fighting a sinus infection most of this week, so that's rather crap.

Thanks, DG! I hope your sinus infection clears up. Mine always get blocked due to hay fever in the summer. I hate it.
