That does look rather nice - a good reinvention of Ratchet in terms of the comic/cartoon model look. Looks good. Not sure if it is something I'd be prepared to import with the yen being as strong as it is, but it is rather nice nevertheless.

There is opinion that that might not be Henkei Ratchet, but Universe Ratchet.
Evidence: The light bar is the same shape as Universe Prowl's (Henkei Prowl has a different one) and there is no chrome.
Who can say!

I'm leaning towards Henkei versions for Universe characters. Better paint apps and the Deluxes cost about the same as the Hasbro ones on shelves over here anyway!

If that is Classics Ratchet after all I'd be impressed anyway. As much as I prefer the Henkei colour versions (cept for Astrotrain) some of the Classics are still good in thier own right like Sideswipe and Grimlock.

So they took a bit of a different approach with these. They'll look goo alongside Classic Starscream, Skywarp and Ramjet with there updated designs but not so well alonside the other Henkei jets.
Dirges new ings are nice though.

Hasbro has its own plans for Universe, I think, and the line will go on hiatus again after another couple of waves when TF:2 comes out. Maybe, *maybe* after that you might see some analogues of Dirge and Thrust, but by then it's mid-2010 and if Hasbro doesn't do it... well, how easy is it now to get hold of popular Japanese store exclusives from 2006?
Basically, if you want them and you're prepared to pay what's being asked, go for it. If nothing else, you might want to wait and see if the yen rate improves- it's fairly crap just now.
