To see it is to love it.
RDJ steals every scene as usual, and the action sequences are very well done indeed, making the viewer feel more 'inside' the movie than the equivalent scenes in most 3D movies.
And Iron Man 2 is neither a 3D version of a 2D film, nor a 2D version of a 3D film, so even Ralph can go watch it.
The Russian villain was very dull, but Tony Stark's fiendish rival, Mr Hammer, more than makes up for it in the entertaining baddie stakes.
Plus, Samuel LJ and Scarlett Johansson, both highly watchable (for quite different reasons).

I look forward to catching up with this film in due course.

I'll try my best to catch this in cinemas. I thought the first was superb, so I have high hopes. If Martin gives it the thumbs up, must be...alright at least. Hee hee.

I found this to be very poor. Very disappointing.

An excellent film from start to finish. Enjoyed tremendously.

Thought it hung together much, much better than the first film. Passed a couple of hours agreeably enough.

Very much enjoyed this - the cast were very much on the same page as far as the tone of the film went. with Robert Downey Junior especially hitting on all cylinders. A good blend of humor and some really good action sequences. An embarressment of riches in the eye-candy department too, with Scarlett Johnasson joining Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts.
A highly enjoyable bit of tosh indeed.

Purchased the two-disc Iron Man 2 DVD set earlier in the week. Film is still a corker. Any scene with one or more of Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell or Samuel L Jackson in it is a winner. There are a few dull scenes that have none of those four in them, but only very few. The commentary by director John Favreau (who also directed the first film and plays Happy Hogan in both) is also very entertaining.
But unless you're a completist I wouldn't recommend the two-disc set. The bonus disc has very little on it, and that content could easily have fitted onto the main disc.

Martin I believe that the single disc version doesn't have the director's commentary on it (although I could be mistaken) which would mitigate against it for me, as I do rather like hearing what directors have to say for themselves.
