Bad Guy: What?! Where'd that little Gunman come from!? Shit! Could that be the legendary Gurren Lagann!?

(Hatch opens, Simon rises): My Brother is dead - he's not here anymore! But on my back and in my heart, he lives on! My Drill is the one that will pierce the heavens - and even if that hole is to be my grave - I will be victorious!

Bad Guy: What?! What the hell are you babbling about!?

This is by far my favorite scene in any show EVER. Why? Because Simon was made fun of, ignored, laughed at by girls, disliked, looked down upon, shunned by his friends, his one friend and brother died, nobody liked him, people thought he was worthless, useless and everybody had given up on him... Except that one girl in the cockpit with him - and it's his love for her that drove him to break through his depression and shock the universe.

This scene was his first step in that process - one that sent shockwaves through all dimmensions!

I can't see any scene beating this one. But go ahead and try

I think Dangermouse features all of my favourite animated scenes of all time. Virtually every episode of the show is on Youtube and watching any of them will make you chuckle. The animation is joyfully slapstick and the writing is hilarious.
