Wow, I have had a heck of a week. Can't remember the last time I posted something, but the lowdown is that telling my Boss that I'm leaving was not a good idea after all. I still think it was the right one, but he's taking it rather personal and will be replacing me regardless. He told another person that he'll be posting my job as open once he's back from vacation on June 10th or so - but he didn't tell me this, which would have been nice. The jackass.
Anyway, I did manage to land an interview at the world's largest steel maker for their raw materials R&D division. It went from 9am till 4:30pm and I had to give a 40 minute presentation, for which I dragged out my doctorate defense (thank God I kept all those files!). God, it was like trying to pass the degree a second time!
I appear to have done well in comparison to the other candidates so far, but they still have a couple people to run through, so who knows what'll happen? Have to keep at it with sending out resumes.
