The Search for the Biggest Transformers Fan Rolls Out Across the UK





Do you know your Megatron from your Optimus Prime? Your Bumblebee from your Cybertron? If so, to celebrate the launch of the new video game Transformers: War for Cybertron, we are on the look out to find the UK’s most enthusiastic Transformers aficionado.



For the nationwide search, which begins on the 25TH May, a select panel of judges will be looking for the ultimate fan. So if you have every Transformer toy ever made, your home has more in common with a wreckage on Cybertron than a semi-detached house or if you simply love dressing up as your favourite character, let us know as the winner of the ultimate fan competition will win a life-sized drawing of themselves as a Transformer, specially designed by Transformer artist extraordinaire Jon Davis Hunt, a fantastic prize for any Transformer fan.



How to enter:

If you think you fit the bill then submit your entry to [e-mail] You’ll need to include an image illustrating your claim to be biggest fan and, in no more than 100 words, a description as to why you think you should win.



The competition is now open and closes 13th June

Well I dunno, just because he's 12 doesn't mean he isn't as big a fan as some of us. Although his knowledge may lack a lot about G1 cartoon/comics and other eras, doesn't mean he doesn't have as much or if not more passion for the ol' transforming robots.

And surely passion is part of what makes a fan, logic doesn't always win out.

Although you have to question his parents spending all that money on him!

I dont deny his dedication to the cause, I know when I was 12 I was totally obsessed with the TF.
I do question the way they define biggest fan.
Having 600 toys/merchandise should not really equate to being the biggest fan.
In the purely material sense, back when I collected seriously I had around 500 figures alone, not counting the various tat, and I stopped collecting about 8 years ago, thus meaning I could of easily added another 300 figures (repaints included) and an mmeasureable amount of tat.

This does lead to an interesting question, how do you define fan and biggest fan?
Do we consider the guys @the moon the biggest fans because of their awsm collections, or do we consider the guy who has hardly any figures but knows everything from G1 to present day, in all mediums?

Personally, defining 'biggest fan' is a fairly pointless exercise anyway. So long as you enjoy your hobby, doesn't matter how much stuff you have of it.
