Both probes should keep working until 2020. Try and make something out of that Cullen!

What does this mean for the "Saturn-sized" planet Cybertron?

What does this mean for the "Saturn-sized" planet Cybertron? Martin That it is still somewhat outclassed in the ring department by a similarly-sized gas giant. (Which suggests that there must be some odd physical processess going on which prevent it from collecting stray objects and dust particles. But it is always nice to know that we have not exhausted the possibility for discovering something new in our local neighbourhood. It is a nice feeling. Karl

Um has anyone seen the moon tonight?
It doesnt seem cloudy enough to hide it, but I cant see the moon in the sky, and I'm pretty sure it isnt supposed to be in shadows yet, since it was fullish last night

It's lying on my front drive. Some kid shot it down with a firework. He didn't half cop it from his mum when she got him home. I'll borrow a step ladder and fix it back up tomorrow if it stays dry. Edit: Serious answer: It'll be up in a few hours, never fear. www.jb.man.ac.uk/astronomy/nightsky/Martin

The five Dwarf Planets: Pluto, Ceres in the asteroid belt, Eris (which they think is larger than Pluto), Haumea and, wait for it, MAKEMAKE! Pronounced Makay-makay, or something, pparently it's an Hawian God (the object was discovered by an observatory in Hawaii). Fair enough naming it after a God from where is was discovered, but come on Makemake, that the best they can come up with? (Good in terms of goof factor, I suppose). I'm quite into the distant readches of the solar system at the mo. Wish they'd go back to Uranus and Neptune. Can't wait for 2015 when the New Horizons probe reaches Pluto! Oh baby!

'Civil war? Yeah, we had one of those. The Autobots won. Can we build a fuck off massive orange metal city in Colorado?'

Now this is interesting (the planets, not the Autobots. We know about them already). Reassuring to see that our system may not be completely unique, as it was threatening to appear.
