Are all the guest talks & script reading [this one being DVD only or delayed til posting jan 2011] going to be filmed & put online or on DVD disc for the event.
I might end up missing last bit of Scott's talk on the sunday 1530-1630.

We are filming everything again but we don't know if it will be for DVD release or Youtube but wither way the exclusive material won't be made public until 2011.
We don't feel that it's appropriate to release footage from the Saturday evening programme too early as weekend attendees have paid extra to attend for the full length of the convention and if one-day attendees can see this footage quickly it could make the whole point for some of attending for the full convention redundant.

I'll be watching the script reading - so no need to release this before how last years was released. Just that Scott's guest talk be online just in case miss the end of it. sometime by Nov2010.

When footage is made public is based on a number of factors and we have to consider not just the people who were there wanting to see it again, but the fact that releasing it too close to Auto Assembly 2010 WILL act as a dis-incentive to some to stay away from the convention. If people can see talks and other footage online, then why should they pay to attend a convention?
This is why we are only just releasing some additional footage from Auto Assembly 2009 and why we haven't released footage from the workshops. If people want to experience parts of the convention, they need to be there! lol

I've not watched the stuff online from last year yet - but at least know some stuff is going to be viewable - but a DVD is good with downlod stuff on it.

We are limited with what can be included on a DVD for copyright reasons. Looking back at what was filmed last year, the Opening Ceremony, Script Reading, NoK Concert, and probably even most of the talks couldn't be sold in any form whatsoever because of background material present on the footage and literally every *second* of the footage would have to be scrutinised.

Nope - pretty much most years there has been stuff that can't be released including a lot from AA2009.
