Hmm... Shall I say, interesting?
His hands look awfully tiny on those big arms. If not for the hands, the arms would make him look like Popeye. Yes, Popeye Prime, that's what I'll call him.

I said to Aaron Archer it was Animated and movie but he and everyone else who was stood nearby were like no its G1 and bit of everything. Personally based on the art work I saw I quite like it, but still arent sure how the toys are going to look.

When are the figures due? Am I right in thinking the show itself is on in November or am I making that up?

I think the Hub starts in September and transformers could follow any time after. There could have been more news since then.

Wait till you see Bumblebee. They showed him, Prime and Megatron at Botcon. Prime and BB looked a lot like their movie incarnations in robot mode, while Megatron looked almost identical to his first appearance in Animated to my eye, but with a completely different (and rather cool) vehicle mode.

News out of Botcon indicated there are no toys. Can those who were there confirm this?

"At the moment it's just a show" said the Hasbro properties bloke. They must have something in the works but right now I think they're just happy to have something to air between films.

That's a big ass statue.
And, admittedly, just going on asthetics, how can they claim it's anything but Bayformers inspired?

As if proof of no toy line, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are completely different designs.
The arms and hands of Optimus are better proportioned ni the animation model. Pity, I was looking forward to calling him Popeye Prime. Actually, the other thing the arms reminded me of - and Bumblebee's now - is Air Attack Optimus Primal. The Bumblebee design has something of a Hot Rod vibe in those pictures.
Looking again at Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, actually they do seem to share a transformation sequence....

Hmmm. Looking at the Prime statue I have to say that it isn't really my sort of thing aesthetically. I see a lot of the Movie-design style in there, couple with the soft-edges of animated. Hard to judge without seeing it in the context of the shows overall look, but that statue certainly doesn't really do much for me.

I'm on the same boat as most, not a big fan of the movie aesthetic, but I'm enjoying the twinges of Animated and WFC in there. I'd have been much happier with the movie if these were the designs.
Not blown away, but excited nonetheless that we're getting a new series. Cautious optimism!
