A5 Black and white fanzine featuring text stories from Ralph Burns and Karl Thurgood weighing in at 64 pages. With added map-goodness from Karl! As with BWA this bad boy is going to be free of charge. So no excuses in not picking it up. Sadly a few tales couldn't make it due to page count issues, so a Director's Cut PDF version will be available not to soon after the end of Auto Assembly. Andy

Whoa, 64 pages?! I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying a bit for something like this, I don't want to see you spending all your money on printing

I have found a general reluctance over the last few cons for people to want to spend money on these kinds of things, so didn't want to be left with 50 of these things to take home!

Reluctance from other fans to try your own fan projects is frustrating, but, to be honest, I wouldn't be too excited about picking up fan produced materials from people I don't know on other sites and commmunities, so I can't complain too much.
Along those lines, I have loads of spare fanzines I've done in the past which I'll have to try and remember to actually bring this year.

Someone take along with them some original Nick Roche art from CG2 or Overlord II, and some original James Roberts art from Brothers in Arms #3 or a copy of Transtext and get them signed

Like Ralph, I'll always give fanzines a go, even if it's not to my taste.
For those that have been to Botcon, what is that like for fanzines. Given the dire quality of the tie-in comics I'd hope a few enterprising fans put some things together.

I'll be putting PDF's of them online this weekend. Nicely formatted into spreads so two pages of a5 to one A4 sheet.

Indeed. Some gremlins sneaked into the print version of the story 332 so can I please refer people to the upcoming PDF for the corrected version, which reads more easily. Cheers.

Read this on the train down to Somerset. Absolutely fantastic stuff! I think I liked the earlier stories the best, really mad stuff about how future humans see the Transformers, creepy Micromasters (MIIII-CRO-MAAAAAAAAAAAN) and insane Micromaster battles. The second half with Perceptor was confusing at first but wrapped up in a satisfactory manner, but I'd probably have liked to see more epic Micromaster battles!
It's a shame the picture of the Micromaster being knighted didn't make it onto the cover instead. I know it was used in Fictionary too, but it is such a great and important image in this collection, I think it should have made it in in some way.

Had it been a planned thing it would probably have had more Micromasters, but as it was originally a 'made up as you go' reaction to pictures in an interweb thread it went in that direction. Fun to do though. 'The Escape' remains my favourite thing I've ever done. Wouldn't change a word.
