I met Kris Carter during the fire alarm incident. When we were all heading back inside, I suddenly thought it strange that nobody seemed to have been taking photos so I stopped to take a couple, then a bunch of other people did, too. You'd think we'd never seen a fire engine before! ;D Hearing about the rumoured ... possible reason McNeil was a little late down to the room Heh. I didn't hear about that until after I'd asked him if he'd had a good night.... It was nice being able to enjoy the convention properly for a change, to stay up late socialising and to actually stay after the event ended. It was good to meet people for the first time - James Roberts, Blueshift and the Pirries. Garry Chalk remembered our previous meeting and I shared the lift with Scott McNeill a couple of times. It's a pity I didn't get to chat to Derrick Wyatt a bit more in the pub, but our seating positions weren't ideal for that.

The Dragon Inn is where folks headed.
I should also add in addition to terrifying Derrick on the first night, I made Nick write an apology on the cover of the Botcon comic, as it was the only reason I bought the comic. I'll scan it and put it up later.

I suddenly thought it strange that nobody seemed to have been taking photos so I stopped to take a couple, then a bunch of other people did, too. You'd think we'd never seen a fire engine before! ;D I didn't see anyone taking pictures of the fire engine, but I did see some of the female attendees getting their pictures taken with the firemen..... It annoys me when people do idiotic things like smoking in hotel rooms though. It is not as if there aren't actually signs to tell you that it is a non-smoking building. (Mind you, given that on both legs of the travel I observed numerous people having problems with the concept of "remain seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stop" I perhap shouldn't be surprised). It's a pity I didn't get to chat to Derrick Wyatt a bit more in the pub, but our seating positions weren't ideal for that. That was the only time I actually did chat to Mr Wyatt at the weekend. He seemed like a top bloke though. Did get chatting to Jim Sorenson in the bar on the Friday evening and he absolutely bowled me over with his enthusiasm, not just for the con, or for Transformers, but for animation art-books in general. It was great to see everyone again. I had a blast, probably more so on the Friday for obvious reasons...
