It's not really all that, having flicked through it, but I think the huge sixty quid IDW book collecting the first three 'minis' and the relevant spotlights is sexy enough for its own thread. The main flaw is a lack of an exhaustive cover gallery. So if you want everything, variant covers and all, in one package, you're out of luck. I'm also skeptical of there being a volume two at some point in the future, so your collection would be half filled. And of course, this volume one will be impossible to find when they do do volume two...
But I would like a prestige Transformers volume one day. I'm pleased with having the entire Titan US trade run in hardback but something even bigger might be nice.

An inadequate cover gallery is a sure-fire miss in my book. Things like that and concept sketches always perk my interest.

Most of the covers are already available in dedicated pubications like the 2 'Cover Gallery' volumes and 'The Art of IDW's Transformers'. I imagine that's why they've been left out of this volume?

I picked up on saturday at Leeds comic mart for 50p
Movie Prequel special #1.
First story is art by Don/Wildman. Then the rest is the reprint of the Target Furman/Wildman comic.
I didn't know about the first half of this before - expected that this was just the Target comic reprinted not an extra strip added to it.

The first story was originally available as a pack-in with the DVD release of the first movie.
