Seibertron always take the best quality pics too. ===KEN www.seibertron.com/events/event.php?event_id=80Click on the last photo on the page. Click next. Voila.

Huzzah! Thank you. (Now, if we can just find a way to see the thumbnails...) PowerBot Bumblebee: looks like a Cyber Stomper type to me. Tat to watch out for on eBay, methinks. Eee! Look at that paint chipping! I hope that's just a prototype issue - I assume the production version will be molded in colour. "Push button conversion." Looks like I was right about Activators being flipchangers. Egad, that's a lot of photos. I only got to 100 of 205 on the first set.

He does look like a rather nice sculpt I have to say. They've done very well at reproducing the somewhat "loose" look of Optimus' animation model there. The vehicle mode - which I wasn't that impressed at first - is actually growing on me I have to admit. Karl

Review and pictures of an Animated Grimlock test shot here. Looks like an absolutely cracking figure, and it even follows the transformation of the original. An outstanding piece of work. Much is made of the robot head being visible in dino mode, but I assume it's at least supposed to be turned round so it's not as visible. Brill. -Nick

Animated really will look good stood alongside each other. I cant even bring myself to complain that Grimlock is too big for my tastes because it seems perfectly in scale with the rest of the line up, aside from Bumblebee.

He wasn't really an evil robot. Just confused. What he really needed was a series of counselling sessions with Dr Calvin and he would have been just fine. Karl

I am liking the look of some of these - Bumblebee is definite winner with me, and I am surprising myself by rather liking Prowl (but then, there simply aren't enough good motorbike mecha and he is a pretty creditable job). I like Megatron's humanoid mode but the toy is held back by the fact that it turns into a random shape... Starscream has angles that make me like him, and then their are entire swathes of degrees from which I'm not so fond.
I do like the Dinobot's though - they seem to exude a sense of "biggness" and solidity that just feels "dinobot-ish" to me.
Not sure whether I will be buying much of the line but it is one that has a few pieces that I quite like.

I daresay I will be picking up a few toys from this line, when I'm earning again. They do look like great fun.

One of the (many) things I like about the Animated line is that it only has two size classes- deluxe and voyager. Legends may follow, but for now it looks like there will be no new gigantic toys to eat up my funds and remaining shelf space.

What's with the chins? Crazy as it sounds they're kinda putting me off! That and the fact I don't think the styling fits in with the style of toys in Cyb/Classics, which is the core of my collection/ing. Was kinda banking on Blitzwing and Grimlock/Dinos fitting in.
Said that, part of me is liking the fact they're trying to take TFs in a new direction, whilst still carrying on with Classics2 and (hopefully) MPs. Should all work together quite well.
I am still a bit puzzeled why they didn't try to do the cartoon in the movie style. That would have made more sense in terms of continuity on from the film, and what kids recognise, wouldn't it?

Optimus Prime changes from Cybertronian half-track into the massive-armed, tiny-waisted, lantern-jawed hero we all know and love. With a big axe. Bumblebee changes from an optionally rocket propelled hatchback into the happiest little transforming robot since Overlord. Yay. -Nick

Now they look thoroughly spiffy. Andy Those are quite nice - the borderline SD aesthetic has transfered really well into plastic. I think its the Bumblebee that really sells me - there's so much verve in that facial expression that it is hard not to love him. Not entirely sold on Prime's vehicle mode but his humanoid mode is a very good job. Karl
