I hope I get to see these at the London Toy Fair (and a better look than the brief look I had at the movie range).

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I approve of a new fresh take on Transformers. On the other hand the toys wont fit into my 'main' collection, which is all about have a 'new' G1 collection. G1 characters with modern, poseable, figs, ie Classics. I'll obv get Prowl, but may stick to that and put all my energies into Classics2/Universe and Masterpieces.

As someone who has Turbomasters, Predators and G2 Cyberjets in his Movie display, I haven't really given thought to separating my Animated figures once I acquire them. I'll be selling off Alternators/Binaltech in February once eBayers have some money again (they're well engineered but I barely touch them after a couple of transformations), so maybe they can have the top of the chest of drawers next to the Classics.

I'm much in the same boat there. Given that one of my living room TF shelves sees Diaclone-colours Magnus, God Ginrai, Movie Prime, Classics Skywarp and Ramjet, Energon Starscream share space - and one of the other shelves has Classics Jetfire as a backstop to Luke Sywalker and Mara Jade locked in a lightsabre duel its fair to say there isn't a great deal of theming going on with my display set-up.
Any animated stuff I get will likely go in wherever I feel like it at the time (and will very likely move around every so often as I rotate the displays.

I just realised 'Man-E-Faces' is a play on the words 'many faces'. Only took me 25 years to work that out.

That's just what I thought when I saw him in the cartoon. The black face looks a bit like Kremzeek.

He actually does look all sortsa cool. I'm assuming that's a half/half misstransformation of is vehicle mode.

No its really pretty accurate to the show the big tank treads are there just not highlighted in the toon. Personally really like the that the modes are a bit mixed considering hte way he ended up being a triplechanger.

So, he doesn't have distinctive tank and jet modes?

I'll be honest and say that this isn't doing anything for me at all. The humanoid mode is alright I guess, but the fighter mode....gives new meaning to the term "flying brick" quite frankly.
For me it lacks the charm that some of the other animated toys have. It looks too much like a teleporter accident between two vehicles.

Time to sing again!
In other news, I must admit Blitzwing is one of the few Animated toys that I'm not keen on the look of. Perhaps it works better in the plastic.

Well - I am happily not infected with the urge to buy up Transformers: Animated toys.
I will continue building my MIB Encore/TFC/Commemorative collection, and would very much like to hunt down more MISB BW II and Neo toys.
A Masterpiece Optimus Prime would not hurt either.
Not interested in Animated at all.

Right there with ya, buddy. I will be getting Prowl, naturally. If they do all 3 Seekers though I don't know what I'll do! Hope they don't!
(unofficially I may have to buy Jazz and Soundwave, altough I'm trying to resist. I'd also get a Shockwave should this character appear, and maybe maybe Wheeljack as well. 'cos they're my faves and I'm a bit obsessive like that!)

I'm definitely tempted by some of the Animated toys. Not all of them do anything for me (Blitzwing, I'm looking at you) but some of them don't look so bad.
Mind you, as a result of my new budget, and considerations of space I probably won't end up getting that many, even of the ones that appeal to me.

"Animated toy launch June 22 nationally"? It looks like the rumblings of a UK July release are correct, then.
Potato Bumblebee a UK promo exclusive? Bwah?
Note that the Optimus reissue is shown with long stacks.

Animated- even I think Ultra Magnus looks good. I was hoping to here names like 'Shockwave' and 'Wheeljack' though. Still, animated is far from over. Animated Ultra Magnus is outstanding! Animated Swoop is, um, never mind. BUMBLEBEE MR POTATO HE- *BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM* -Ralph

Now I do like Animated Ultra Magnus. He's chunky, has fantastic proportions and an absolutely wonderful face-scuplt.
I can see myself wanting one of those to be honest. Swoop is.... not as good as Snarl, who has a nice triceratops mode, but I'm not sure about his humanoid mode.

Sometimes I amaze myself in terms of how pathetically weak willed I am - or how quickly I change my mind As soon as pictures of Swindle and Wreck Gar appeared - the case was closed for me. I couldn't resist this line any longer. Bad enough the Dinobots are in it - that is a major major temptation. Bad enough Bumblebee looks great, bad enough Megatron actually looks - for the first time since G1 - like Megatron should look in robot mode, bad enough that Black Arachnia is a gem, bad enough that Ultra Magnus is in the line, bad enough that Shockwave is to be included... But when my two favorite characters in all of the Transformers mythos get used - and seem to appear to look like they did in G1... crap. I'm getting the whole series. But I will be organizing myself. I've pre-ordered the double Megs vs Prime pack, the 6 deluxes, Leader Bulkhead and Leader Megatrn and Voyager Starscream. Not getting Voyager Bulkhead or Voyager Megs... Leader Bulkhead looks really class A! And he comes with Headmaster; which I always appreciate. Leader Megatron looks.... like he should go in the Mistransformed Thread pronto! I'm wagering the actually toy is much nicer than the ugly picture we have of him... I'm not thrilled about Lockdown, and I don't like Motorcycle Prowl - but fine - whatever - they also get bought. Unless I change my mind again within the coming months dyrl

Well I got the full first wave so I just gotta wait for Ratchet and BA. I dont think theres anything I dont want, this is a series that is being put together by real fans or at least guys who really understand the line. Long may i continue.
