Picked this up for £4.99 in FPG today. Rather enjoying it. I'm a sucker for these kinds of things, especially at £4.99. My only complaint is their use of the font 'sand', which is my most despised font.
Artwork varies from excellent to pretty amateurish throughout, much like the other DW/IDW sourcebooks.
On a side note, I also picked up my first single comic in a loooong time: Namor: The first mutant (I'm also a sucker for Namor) - and it was 3 bloody pounds!
Three quid for a comic? No thank y'sir.

Most comics now are £3, sadly. Which is why I dropped most titles.
I remember the Sourcebook being ok though gave my copies of the single issue to M when I heard there was an Omnibus coming out which had that plus the two BW comics series. Which ome to think of, I completely forgot to pick up.

I didn't like this book. All the profiles removed the humour of Beast Wars and made it all GRR GRR DEADLY SERIOUS

With IDW doing Botcon's Beast Wars comic and it being the 20th anniversary of that iteration of Transformers I would be very surprised if this is not back in print at some point this year.

Quality aside, it's been a hell of an economic thing to get signed at UK events over the years. Mine has so many sigs in it now, and will be getting another in August. |
