I would say the repeated use of the word 'change' to be a Costaism, based on the issues I read.
Hmmm, five pages wasted on a banal conversation that seems no nearer to it's conclusion isn't going to tempt me back on board.
If Thundercracker is so obsessed with TV, why do all his screens show static?

He might like TV, but does he have the means to pay for it??

Well the artwork or at least the character designs are much better, far less movie style than the first 6 issues, but both characters appear to have new robot mode modes again.

I'm sure they'll change again when Don returns for issue 14.

Take that, Thundercracker!
BBC Documentaries come at a high price!

Unless Thundercracker's hideout is in the UK, he won't be able to access iPlayer. Say, that's the kind of plot hole IDW love to put in their comics!

All of that conversation in those pages could have been done in one page! I feel sorry for the artist really, in Marvel style his plot would have read 'pages 1-5, Bumblebee and Thundercracker talk'.

It needs that many pages. Friendship shouldn't be taken lightly!

Perhaps Thundercracker has used his Advanced Transformer Skills to hack into the iPlayer feed. HIS MISUSE OF LICENCE FEE PAYERS MONEY MUST BE STOPPED. NO MATTER THE COST. -Ralph

As long as it remains at friendship... I don't want to see the appearance of Bumblecracker in a few issues time.
James, I believe someone on the IDW forums has compressed the preview conversation into one page using the magic of Copy And Paste.

Some interesting talk about the decompression in that thread, but really I don't think you can cut and paste the dialogue over the existing artwork, the whole thing should be redrawn.

Interesting diversity of opinion between those two reviews.
I have to say the preview doesn't entirely fill me with rapt interest in this comic. It appears that it is intentional that Thundercracker is talking like he is in a mediocre sitcom but this does mean that he says very little that is of interest. This is where it fails as a preview - a conversation can be enough to sell me on a comic, if it is an interesting conversation. This isn't, it is extremely banal and therefore doesn't exactly grab my interest.

If Thundercracker is so obsessed with TV, why do all his screens show static? He lost the signal. He's pissed off because Bumblebee's stopping him from sorting it out and he doesn't want to miss Home & Away.

I do love Thudnercracker's line to Bumblebee though:
"Yeah. I don't think this friendship is working out"

I imagine the real answer is that the artist didn't want to draw dozens of tiny tv images and so left it to the colourist to sort out, the colourist didn't want to become an artist so make it all static.

And damn is TC pissed that Bumblebee turned off his favourite episode of That Static Show on the last page of the preview!

Or editorial could have caught it by asking the writer to put a line in about the TV's being turned off, such as Bumblebee scrambling the transmissions to get Emocracker to listen to him.

I'm still confused by the cover. Why does a jet fighter need a robot with a hand gun on top of it??

I'm still confused by the cover. Why does a jet fighter need a robot with a hand gun on top of it?? I'm not entirely sure that it does in all honesty...... Also, the way that perspective has crawled away to die on that image aggravates me. Apparently Thundercracker either has one v-stab at the rear of his aircraft mode like an F-22 and one halfway along his fuselage or space is being warped by some unimaginably enormous mass in the vicinity. The repurposing of those pages is absolutely hilarious though. Far more entertainment value there than the actual preview.

Thundercracker is clearly annoyed that Sky have switched off his digital TV subscription so in the last panel he switches off one of the TV's in disgust.
Either that or he wanted to watch less TV so he switched off one of the TV's!
