Transformers robots 'Britain's most popular toy'

This is from Toysrus - the only toy shop that uses the Transformers banners spaced to stock Star Wars toys on.

Very poorly written article which really says nothing. Is Transformers the top-selling? Any sales figures? Comparisons with other lines? Appears to be some random person from TRU talking gibberish!

That only says Transformers was top for one year - what about last year when it was supposed to be the top line.

Poorly written doesn't really cover it. The "toy timeline" just seems to highlight things people liked each year rather than the actual top toys. Robosapien was not #1 in 2004, for example, and Harry Potter lego has never sold particularly well. Some items like the Wii, Go Go Hamsters and the High School Musical stuff matches my memories, but some of it doesn't ring true.

Also, apparently Power Rangers has been out for 816 years. I knew those early suit-mation series were from pretty far back, but I really had no idea.

Does Hasbro pay Toysrus for display space - so if one side of the toy alley is split into 5 rows & each with a banner on top - so 2 Transformers banners & the other 3 on that same side being normally starwars in TRU. So do Hasbro pay 2 rows for Transformers [even though Transformers are only in one row while the other is filled up with starwars & gijoe] & I guess that TRU then charge Hasbro [seeing its Hasbro toys] for 4 rows of starwars toys - the 3 bannered & paying for starwars in the Transformers banner row that they have already paid for. Or do Hasbro just pay for the display banners & expect TRU to but them up?

...& will TRU ever keep the Transformers sections for Transformers toys only.
