If you're not familiar with the story, well, read this. However, a development house has picked the game up and are pushing towards a release. A playable demo was set up at PAX2010 and it seems the game will see a release. So, have you been waiting for this game since '96 or do you feel that games have moved on since the immature toilet humour of the Duke Nukem 3D?

I played one of the Duke Nukem games on the N64 when I first brought the console in 2000 but can't quite remember which one it was. I did find it an enjoyable romp though but not quite as interesting as other games I played with a similar theme.

At this point I want to play it out of sheer morbid curiosity. I can't imagine it could possibly live up to 13 years of hype, but maybe just maybe it will. However I'm not going to believe it's being released until I have it in my hand. I hope it comes with a 'making of' DVD (or boxset!) - the story behind this game is more compelling than the game itself.
I love The List. I think my favourite piece of trivia is, that in the same span of time DNF has been in development, the Beatles formed, recorded all their songs, then split up. Or that it took less time to develop the atomic bomb. Brilliant.
