With news today that Bill & Ted 3 is on the way I thought I'd start a Bill & Ted Thread (Woah, Dude that rhymes!). Be it the 2 movies, the short-lived live action series and the Hanna Barbera/DiC cartoon, this is where its at. I dug out my copies of Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey and 20 or so years on I still enjoy these films as much as I did back then. Bogus Journey for me is one of the few film sequels that is spot as a follow up movie. I'm hoping the 3rd movie (if it 100% happens) will pull off well. ===KEN

I actually watched Bogus Journey on one of the Sky movie channels about two weeks ago. It was the first time I saw the film in about five or so years and I found I still enjoyed it. The cartoon you mention I think I remember watching it many years ago and thought it was dire. As for the third movie I hope it never goes ahead. There are several reasons for this. The first is that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are now grown adults and not adolescent care free teens and the film just won't be the same - even if they are depicted in the film as middle aged people. Furthermore, sequels made many years after the original two or so sequels just don't work. Crocodile Dundee 3 (Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles to give it its proper title) was appalling compared to the original two, Police Academy 7 was also shockingly bad (although it has be said that the previous 3 PA films were also terrible), Look Who's Talking Now was another bad example of how to ruin a once good film franchise and the recent Rocky and Rambo sequels were also bad compared to the originals.

Given that Hot Tub Time Machine kicked arse thats probably why they've decided to do this.....HTTM needs a sequel....in a deleted scene Father Time drops the egg that there are other time machines he's made....and what did happen on that other trip the guys went away on that led to Cusacks character to keep a secret shoe box on the subject? Plot potential....
