Yes... turning Herbert Hoovers wife into a two-guns blazing Action Scientist left me somewhat bemused in all honesty. I think that was the start of my parting ways with the comic.
The way that they are using the continuity doesn't really grab me hugely either. It feels a bit tick-box in its need to fit in off-the-cuff things from the second film and try to build its story around them rather than first determining its story and then using or not using those elements as necessary.
Not sure I will bother sticking around for issue three to be honest. I was thinking of dropping something from my comics/magazines budget anyway to cover the cost of sticking with Larry Hama's Gi Joe series, so I think Sector Seven is going to end up being the casualty.

Bit flat, really - too much time spent with thinly-fleshed human characters doing a Thing ripoff and very little Transformers until the end.
