Damn you Photobucket!!!! They resize the image to fit certain dimensions. I've moved it over to Imageshack, click the thumbnail and you will get the full sized image, with crystal clear lettering.

Heh! I left the image at 100dpi (instead of shrinking it down to normal screen res 72dpi) cos I knew Longtooth would look massive and shouty!

Yup. Some of them don't really take a hellish long time to do depending on how I do it and as today's was a headshot mostly it's quick. I think tomorrows and wednesday's will be a bit more involved.
The working method summary:
All done on pshop save 1 and 2.
Quick grey pencil sketch on one layer.
Finished Black pencil/ink on the next layer
Lettering and balloons

I've got a really tiny Wacom volito, but I shall be stepping up to an Intuos at Christmas time. Best bet is get the volito (pc only) and try that out as it's not too expensive and it's better to see how much you will use it before splashing out on a higher end model.
I do still use the Mouse when drawing straight lines though, it just easier to do the shift + mouse click option with a brush than do it with the pen.
