Will there be a sequel I hear no-one ask? Possibly but not for a good while. Though it was a fun exercise and good for deadline adherence.

Do we need to even get the tech specs out for a head to head Nigel?

Ah, but Transformers aren't Top Trumps. Just because Shockwave's a 9 and Longtooth's a 5 (or whatever they may be), doesn't mean that Shockwave would necessarily beat Longtooth. Just as humans are capable of extreme, superhuman feats of strength, speed and endurance, so too surely are Transformers. Tech Specs are essentially statistics; statistics often vary from practise.
Indeed, the instinctive, animalistic nature of Longtooth as portrayed in the strip may be the perfect counter to the logic of Shockwave.
(Most enjoyable strip, by the way. The daily/month format is a great idea.)

I was speaking to Gavin and he ended up reading it all in one lump and said it was pretty bonkers.
I'll give it a few days before I try and read it. I do have the sequel to Halloween Havoc to finish off.
I think the internet means that the days of serialised fanzines are behind us now and that the content should match the distribution system. Smaller chunks more often with a view (should people be interested) to collecting them in print - periodically.

I find the ending somewhat unbelievable though. Why didn't he scream..?

Hurrah! Well done, Shockwave.
Longtooth never annoyed me before but he did by the end of this strip.

To have any other outcome would have been a bit daft and the whole story did end up being geared towards Longtooth getting his comeuppance, primarily for just existing really!

Hurrah! Well done, Shockwave. Longtooth never annoyed me before but he did by the end of this strip. Martin For allowing others to now see Longtooth as I see him, the strip was an unqualified success. -Ralph

It's not a good place, although god dammit the idea of doing Longtooth's adventures in Arkham Asylum similar to the Grant Morrison/Dave McKean Graphic Novel is now in my head.
AAAARGH!!!

You'll have to wait a bit, I'm nabbing Karl's Arkham Asylum (probably at Scotcon) so Ralph and I will probably start work on it in the pub at that time.
I'll do my best to send some updates via the poserphone so folks can see the inebriated Turn and Burn creative duo at work!
