It seems when other people colour my art, it comes out ok. When I colour other peoples art, it comes out ok When I colour my own, people hate it! But then again I never said I was a good artist, I really just want to get stuff out there. And I feel justified, because after a year and a half, after submitting about a dozen Mosaic scripts, I didn't get a single one drawn by anyone else who I didn't have to arm-twist. Mostly because I like to write about obscure guys, but artists like to draw a million comics about Prowl or Thundercracker being emo. Even the one I did with an established IDW writer hasn't got drawn yet despite being in someone's art queue for a year and a half (probably because it is all about Skyhammer!) But anyway. DUEL, featuring Slugslinger vs Sureshot! www.redshirt.co.uk/tall-tales/duel/

Then that's their problem. There's just as much fun in the hobby talking about or writing about obscure characters as famous ones (arguably more so as there is more to speculate about). AND HURRAY FOR SLUGSLINGER! -Ralph

Good work.

Very nice work there Blueshift. It is always nice to see someone do something with the less developed characters - they tend to have a bit more potential and room for development than the more heavily spotlighted ones. I liked the way Slugslinger handled the duel - it felt very true to the Decepticon Way.

Did you contribute to any more Mosaics, Mr Shift? There's so many of them out there, I have trouble remembering any specific ones.

If I could draw, I would certainly offer to help. But I can't.
I can colour in. But I am slow. In fact, I've already had a few Mosaics taken off me for being too slow. The only Mosaic I've ever managed to finish was "No Conflict" before the writer got too impatient with me.

It's a crying shame that so many of the participants in the Mosaic scheme appear to have an over inflated opinion of what they are actually doing.
It's a one page FANstrip, no more and no less.
Matt - I might be able to help you out on the art front but am a wee bit busy for the next couple of weeks. After that we'll have a chinwag and I will see what I can do.

Indeed. It does seem like a small minority are pitching for gigs with IDW rather than having a bit of harmless fun. -Ralph

The thing is, that strip must have got through the writer, artist, the guys running the project who greenlighted it, all sitting down and thinking "Hey, this is a good idea!"

That's actually the plot for TF Spotlight Red Alert featuring Red Alert, Skids and Ultra Magnus. It will be written and drawn by two esteemed MOSAIC creators because they the fans demanded it.
