Don't worry about the title it's not anything dirty, honest!
In the middle of a really crappy day (literally) I started doodling and came up with a random first page of a possible story (it's pencilled at the moment and I shall ink and dialogue it and maybe even colour it on Sunday) and got to thinking about how it would continue.
And then the idea hit me. We've had some cracking stuff come out from the Fictionary images (don't worry I have more planned) since they've started so I wondered about trying something similar in a strip format. I know a lot of people can be hesitant to commit to doing strips due to the time involved so this should be ideal as all you need to do is one page which hopefully should be doable.
And what about those of us who can't draw I hear you ask. Well I haven't forgotten you at all no sir. If you have a digital camera and toys why not do a page as fumetti (as Karl has done with RID in the last two Scotcon magazines). If you have the skills you could also use DVD screen grabs and image editing software to arrange a page as well.
I also know a few people who are not confident either pencilling or inking but are willing to give one a try but not the other. Use this thread to shout out and see who wants to help. (I can lend a hand with tips on scanning and converting the pencils to blue line art - good for inking with).
So what am I looking for exactly. Well on Sunday night/Monday morning I will upload the first page of the story and from then on someone else can take up the baton and do a second page and then someone else can do a third. There's no harm in doing more than one page, but for the sake of fairness try and leave a wee gap so as to give everyone a shot at the story.
If you've got an idea to kick off a story then start a page yourself and put it on the Hub in a separate thread. There's no harm in having two or three of these on the go at any one time.
If anyone needs a hand with lettering and the like there are enough people on the Hub who should be able to lend a hand, myself included.
When stories are done we can collect them in a nice pdf file or maybe we coudl even produce a cheeky wee print fanzine.
